Turkey Tissue Box Cover | Thanksgiving Crochet Pattern

Crochet Turkey Tissue Box Cover Pattern (Fits Square Tissue Boxes)

Picture the Thanksgiving table, the pie on its way, and a guest reaching for a tissue only to have the turkey hand it over. It’s the little piece of decor everyone talks about, and it comes back out every November.

What’s Included:

• Step-by-step written PDF pattern in US crochet terms, with stitch counts for every round
• Top-down construction worked in the round, head, top, and body as one piece
• Photo guides for the feathers, plus measurement checkpoints along the way
• Fits a 4.5 x 4.5 in square tissue box, 5 in high (finished cover 5.25 x 5.25 in)
• A clean, modern finish that reads boutique, not homemade

What You’ll Need:

• Worsted weight yarn (Medium, Category 4), about 190 yds total: red 55, yellow 45, orange 40, brown 25, green 20, and black 5
• 5mm (H/8) hook, plus a 3.25mm (D/3) hook for the beak
• Yarn needle, scissors, measuring tape, and a square tissue box
• 2 craft eyes, googly eyes, or buttons, with optional stuffing for the head
• Stitches used: chain (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), treble crochet (tr), sc2tog, hdc2tog, and back loops only (BLO)

Skill Level:
Easy. If you can work in the round, the measurement checks keep you on track all the way to the last feather.

Why Crocheters Will Love It:

• The turkey pulls the tissues through his beak, so every guest gets a laugh
• Head, top, and body are worked as one piece, leaving only the fun details to sew on
• Measurement checkpoints mean a snug fit on the box, with no guessing at the end
• Yardage is listed per color, so you can shop exactly what you need or raid your stash
• Basic stitches deliver a showpiece result, perfect for a first holiday project
• Make it once and bring it out every Thanksgiving, a keepsake your family will look for

Perfect For:
Holiday decorators, handmade gift-givers, and confident beginners ready for a fun seasonal make.
